Just by switching from Mellon to another company my 12-month auto premium went from $3,570.70 to 1,671.16. My 12-month home premium went from $4,011 to $1,935.27. This is unacceptable since both companies use the same insurance carrier. Sometimes you learn the hard way but it's obvious they are not shopping around for you once they have your business. That is the whole point of using an independent insurance broker. I'll be glad to see my escrow reduce substantially after this move.
