She seems to great for most patients. Unfortunately if you have anxiety or special needs you may want to consider another provider. She pushed back on working with my needs initially when she ordered a test. She finally agreed to work with what I needed. No communication from her over 2 months and then after being scheduled for the procedure I was blindsided that my needs would not be met. She however never had any intention of letting me know. I was very pleased because she listened to me and explained everything in language I could understand.
I was very happy with Dr. Spera. She had a pleasant demeanor and asked me pertinent questions regarding my health issues. She offered several suggestions on ways I could feel better at home and ordered a test to hopefully find answers. I would definitely see her again and would recommend her to family and friends.
First time visit with Dr. Melissa Spera was a pleasurable experience. She was very caring in her approach to my conditions. Choices were given as to cures. I was assured that if a follow-up was needed, she would be only a phone call away.
Dr. Melissa Spera goes out of her way to be helpful to her patients. She responds to messages on the portal very quickly and has a lovely bedside manner during virtual visits. Whether you need a medical procedure performed or medical records forwarded, Dr Spera truly listens to you and is proactive on your behalf. I have personally had a number of upper GI scopes done under her care and have been extremely pleased with the results. I highly recommend this Doctor!
