My sister and mother specifically recommended me to go to Melchior after having to be referred to a gynecologist, so I specifically asked my doctor for Melchior. After paying to transfer all my documents to my doctor just to receive the referral to her office I was not notified. Weeks later I attempted calling the office to check if my referral was received multiple times. I like Dr. Melchior, however, the receptionist is abrasive and incredibley insensitive. There are many examples but to give one example - I had asked what was the purpose of todays appt as it was my first one without any test results to review. I was curious to know if I needed to drink water or to be prepared for a physical etc. and she said flippantly and loudly infront of a full waiting room 'well, are you still pregnant?' I said, 'yes' and she said with a dismissive wave 'then thats what you are here for'.
Dr.Melchior and her medical receptionist, Fiona, are awesome. Considering having another baby just to hang out with them again.
Dr Melchior is the most incredible doctor. She cared for me during my pregnancy and delivered or baby. Dr Melchior was not actually working in L&D on the day I gave birth, but she popped in to check on me knowing I was there and in labour. She came back to see me after doing other procedures and said she wanted to stay to deliver our baby. She knew my wishes and she advocated for me and believed in me in a way that was so empowering, and I am eternally grateful to her for staying with me to deliver our baby and for the entir... read more
