The team from reception, the nursing team on Lvl6, the through to the surgical staff have been nothing short of amazing. The staff are so caring and kind. I would highly recommend Melbourne private. Sure its older, but the care has exceeded my expectations. I had a single room. Food was nice too.
I had a four day stay on the 5th floor cardiac ward last week, my experience was a good one from all the nurses especially Vivian (day) and Ishara (night) who were caring angels in scrubs Anaesthetist, surgeons and theatre staff were all excellent. Food, l found ,you had a good choice and plenty of it.
Maybe I’ve been spoilt by having been at Epworth Richmond previously, but this experience was not great, apart from the always fantastic nurses and support staff. Food was terrible, was late for lunch but early for dinner, was cold and no choices, and even though I filled out a slip for food I got something different eg a piece of white bread instead of a dinner roll. Physio spent two minutes with me, told me to read a booklet, took me for a short walk and that was it. Pharmacy tried to give me my regular meds but missed out... read more
Doctors are excellent, kind and attentive. Nurses - some are good and do everything to make one comfortable but some are inexperienced and not attentive. Cleanliness and hygiene of rooms and kitchen service is zero, workers are not doing their job and no supervision as observed. My husband's room was not vacuumed or mopped during his 10 day stay. He was never served tea or coffee at any of the the tea times. Food order has some missing from menu ordered most of the time or not what was ordered and the answer is not available... read more
I had an overnight stay on the cardiac floor last week and the overall experience was great. From Jordan at the front desk greeting us with a smile as I walked through the lift doors, to the nurses, Subhi (day) and Rachel (night) who were caring and personable, and those who prepped me for the procedure and put me at ease. Thank you all for the great work you do.
