I’ve stayed at the Royal Melbourne Private a few times within the Neurosurgery Unit after spinal surgeries. The doctors and nurses there are absolutely phenomenal. I am horrendous with needles and having blood drawn, however the phlebotomists there are all so sincerely caring, kind and gentle which makes a process I dread, so much easier. Very disappointing. Will never have a procedure done at this facility again and in good conscience cannot recommend to others.

I visited for a blood test and found the staff to be very professional. Vivian, in particular, was responsive and answered all my questions with patience and care.

Melbourne private is run down and old. The pantry’s on the wards feel dirty and broken. It is cramped for room in the procedure areas and the staff don’t have room around the beds to even work. The meals are well below par (actually worse) for a hospital and never delivered in a timely manor. Yesterday my lunch was not delivered until after 2pm. Being diabetic that’s not good. All the staff are friendly and willing to assist. This place needs a total refit or pulled down and re built
