We had an event at the royal exhibition building so this was the perfect location to stay, and being on lygon street we were perfectly situated to delicious italian food. The rooms were no-frills (as we expected), but a highlight was the king beds that were super comfortable. We were overall very happy with what we got for the price. I visited Melbourne and stayed at this hotel four times in a month. The little guy at the reception seemed nice until yesterday I left a bag of clothes in the room. I got a text reminding me it's time to check out after 10 while I left early in the morning. So I called him right way and asked if he could find my bag of clothes and kept it for me since I'd be back in a week.
