The last two times we have been there have been pretty poor. The food is good but the service has been horrible. The first trip we ordered a basket of Nan and it didn't come out until we were threw eating, and we had to repeatedly remind the waiter. They don't come around to fill up your drinks. Then we went again on Father's day and once again the service was very poor. We ordered an app. and got it with our meals and without the sauces it is supposed to come with. Expensive, great taste, wonderful staff, buffet worth a try! – I've only had the Samosa and bread basket appetizers, but both were amazing. The dishes were always very flavorful, and though pricey when eating with the appetizers I found myself full with leftovers to take home for a nice dinner or midnight snack. Very nice staff, let me try some of the drinks they specialize in. Good but odd, never had the mixture of flavors. Overall every experience has been good and worth the visit. Awesome! – Absolutely amazing! Great service every time and the food is to die for. Try the lunch buffet, trust me.

at least the beer was good... – i went here when it first opened and i was not impressed by the lunch buffet at all. it had a decent selection but it completely lacked flavor. i thought id give melas a second chance and went with my boyfriend for dinner today. he went with the buffet and i chose the chicken tikka masala off menu because i was still wary of the buffet. we ordered samosas which were good... but then came my dish. i ordered it a medium .... and it was just horrible ;( it had no spice and no flavor. my boyfriend... read more

Lacking any flavor – Ordered the chicken tikka masala because I didn't trust the buffet (it was horrible the first time I had it when the restaurant first opened). I ordered it a medium and it was below mild! Besides it not having any heat it had a strange after taste. I didn't eat it and ended up having a dinner of naan (which I'm glad they can make) and beer (which was cold, congratulations!). My boyfriend's palak paneer from the buffet had more spice. I'm so disappointed and will never be going to this restaurant again.

Good Indian Buffet! My family and I visit Mela frequently when we're in the mood for Indian food and don't want to cook it. I find that the best time to go is during lunch on the weekends. The food is layed out nicely and the staff is friendly. The chef must be authentic since he know's how to make things the way mom makes them. I recommend this place for people who are trying Indian food for the first time and are unsure what to order.
