On June 22, 2026 I took our Explorer in for an oil change. On 7/14 my husband and I left for a vacation, 2 hours into our 10 hour road trip we heard a pop and our car started to smoke. We pulled over immediately and saw that the oil filter that was applied during our oil change had popped off, resulting in our car expelling all of the oil, leading to our motor seizing up and the vehicle being undrivable.
