For anyone who was or planned on using Meijer optical, I spoke to the manager at Meijer and the optical center is currently closed until further notice. The franchise that owns the optical center is in transition to another owner and there is no time frame for when it will be open again. The closest Meijer Optical from Huber is in Marysville.

$140+ oop for an eye exam while lenses and contacts are covered under insurance?
I was in their facility in May for a comprehensive eye exam with Dr. Hobson and testing for new eye wear. The Dr. and her staff were very polite, but I can say I wouldn't put any weight into the Dr's skills, after having experienced one retinal detachment and a second near detachment only 7 months following my visit. I fail to believe that there were not any observable signs where she could have signaled me to have a retinal specialist assessment. I am from out of town and had trouble with my glasses falling down my face. This was on 1/13/25. The very kind young lady was able to remedy that for me in the most cheerful manner.
