My elderly mother has been admitted 3 times within the past month. She has been neglected. Nobody explains anything to her and she is of the generation that ‘don’t like to make a fuss’. At one point she was sent home with pneumonia and no antibiotics. Now she’s back! With possible sepsis. Also sent home with serious heart problems and no follow up. She’s back there’s now - because of that! In A&E today I saw at one point 6 elderly people on trollies in the corridors of Majors. All I can say in conclusion is try your hardest ... read more

Mrs Broadbent and I were really impressed with the A&E staff and X-ray. John, the medical practitioner was Excellent. Only took about 1hr.

Absolutely disgraceful emergency response in Gillingham, Dorset. We found an elderly man lying in the bushes near the Asda parking lot over an hour ago. My wife, two other women, and I called emergency services immediately. We were on the phone for more than 30 minutes giving full details. Then we waited. No one came. We called again and told them the man was losing consciousness. Still, no ambulance. We are still here, waiting, over an hour later. At this point, the man could be dead. How is this acceptable? waited for ambulance 2hrs which never came, arrived to hospital with other transport, another 6hrs wait, say no more

Amazing care from reception to A&E and CT scan. I can't praise the staff enough, a credit to the nhs.
