Medvet continues to remove my google review, but I want people to know my experience so they do not go through it. I was a client for over twenty years as there are a lot of good people there. However.... Victoria Fisher overdosed my dog on fentanyl, despite a CAUTION note in yellow on in his chart to not to give him any sedatives. He had a resuscitate order on his chart and her and the director of the emergency room did not give him narcan and just simply watched him die. I was then called and told "your dog is dead." They... read more

To all pet owners: Be aware of the real care your pet receives. My dog had surgery at MedVet in Worthington, Columbus. Eight days after the surgery, some stitches came loose and he started bleeding. I called MedVet several times to get information about what to do. I sent several pictures. When I finally talked to a surgical person, I was told he had been licking the incision and it was infected. She said she would call in a prescription for antibiotics and cream. It wasn't infected; he had not been licking it. I could... read more

I'm writing this review more from a business perspective so that I can attempt to take out all the negative emotions from my recent visit. Firstly, if your animal doesn't have VISIBLE signs of trauma, DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE. My mother's dog had not eaten in 2 days and was somewhat lethargic and throwing up. Unfortunately, it fell on a weekend and had no choice but to go here. Since the dog's issues were internal, we didn't know how "urgent" her condition was, but just because her injuries weren't visible, doesn't m... read more

I was feeding a feral cat that I dearly loved but could not take in. On Christmas I found him with his back legs paralyzed. I took him to MedVet to have him put down. MedVet (Dayton) wanted $290 to euthanize him and I would have to take the body with me. Cremation would have been an extra cost. I could not afford this expense at this time. MedVet indicated I could sign him over to them so he could be euthanized for free, cremated, and communally buried. I assumed this would be a local company and I could visit the ... read more

This group was recommended by my local veterinarian in Tennessee. Within 24 hours they called to schedule surgery for a torn cruciate ligament on my furbaby. Everything went smoothly from the moment I walked in the door. Everyone I met was warm and professional. Every step explained and not rushed if I had questions. The day after I brought my doggie home, Dr. Whyte called to check up on how it was going; again she was encouraging and did not rush the call.

When I arrived, I asked how much the visit would cost. They told me $126. I told them I was going to go home and wait to see if the dog got any worse and if so then I would bring him back. The receptionist told me that I could get his vitals done at no cost and decide at that point if I wanted to see the vet. I told her I would. After the vitals were completed, and without asking me if I wanted to see the vet, the vet walked in and told me her recommendations and then charged me $126. They took advantage of the fact that I w... read more

First and last visit. I have been to many veterinary specialists and emergency vet hospitals over the years and I have never been as frustrated with a place as much as this one. I think their main focus is the money -- we had to pay a $2500 "retainer" up front and finally had to go rescue our kitty the next day as there seemed to be no end in site as to how long they were going to keep her. They were not particularly informative and seemed annoyed when I tried to get more information. I think they let her go home so they... read more

No start whatsoever! I don’t think we could have had a worse experience, considering that she didn’t perform any surgery on our pet. River is a pomskey who needed surgery on both eyes. On the day of surgery she called saying her retinas are detaching and he will get blind anyways because “no one” can perform a surgery for retina on huskies! And she won’t do the surgery and there might be 2 places in US where they can do this surgery. After a quick search we found an eye institute in Cincinnati that does this surgery on husk... read more

After an emergent visit today to Med Vet Mandeville, I can honestly say I will recommend them over and over again. From Kaylyn and Michelle at the front, to Dr Edward's and his techs in the back they were all so sweet, comforting, and knowledgeable. They were extremely professional and patient with this scared puppy mama! I'd give them 10 stars if I could!
