Outstanding physical therapy by an expert is greatly helping me regain flexibility and strength of my broken fingers
I have a chronic neck problem due to calcification of my ligaments (DISH) or too much bone. I was given a manageable, limited set of exercises (5 +1), twice a day at home, to address this problem. I meet with the therapist once a week for feedback and additional treatment. The plan is for two months. After one month, I already feel much better. The team at MedStar is very friendly, low key and efficient; the facility is nice, spacious and calm.
Kaylie Nielson has been a wonderful therapist for me..I recommend her without reservation.
Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience with the PT team at Chevy Chase. The sessions often felt minimal and sometimes ended after only 30–40 minutes even though I was scheduled for an hour. I also felt that the treatment options and exercises were limited, especially for post-surgical rehabilitation. Continuity of care was another issue.
