I was referred to medscan Barangaroo by icare who was very professional, they told me my appointment was at 10am I got to medscan at 9:50am I saw receptionist and was told take a seat th doc won't be long after sitting for an hour receptionist could see I was getting very angry as I had to get back to work, so I heard her ring doc an he stated it won't be long, I waited for another 20 minutes then finally the doc who was to do my CT scan come out an called me, then I realised that same doc had come out an saw 15 other people... read more
They get the job done but they have gap fees and communication about what you're going to be charged / rebated is poor. I was told $91 with $45 rebate when I checked in for chest x-ray to review rib injury, but at the end was charged additional $85 with $40ish rebate because apparently chest & rib xrays are charged separately
My recent experience at Medscan Barangaroo was extremely disappointing and fell well below acceptable standards of patient care and administration. In the lead-up to my appointment, I was contacted no fewer than six times regarding the same booking. This level of repetition strongly suggests a lack of communication and coordination between administration, reception, and/or management, and immediately undermined confidence in the organisation. I had a pelvic ultrasound here and the experience was excellent. The male technician was extremely professional, respectful and made me feel comfortable during the whole exam. A female staff member was also present throughout the procedure, which I really appreciated. The service was very professional and I highly recommend this clinic.
