The minimum essential coverage plan does not cover any sort of hospitalization its worthless. My son was knocked out in a soccer game. He was rushed by ambulance to the ER. He spent three days in the hospital including an overnight in the ICU. He had an MRI on his head and a couple of Xrays for broken bones (none found). The bill I got from the hospital was over $40,000. Medova Healthcare paid $1500 to the hospital and the rest was my responsibility.
