Medomak Veterinary Services was founded in 1988 by Dr. Laurie Howarth. The practice was begun in order to provide veterinary care for small animals and to provide farm call care for horses, sheep, and goats. At that time the practice was largely run out of two small rooms in the back of Dr. Howarth's home. In 1991 the large animal part of the practice was discontinued in order to concentrate on the growing number of small animal patients and their owners.
