This place saved my life and I moved to Birmingham and still drove 2 hours to go to this place. I love my councilors I had over the years and the staff was and is so polite and supportive. Thank you Lord for opening up these doors for people in pain and the doctors won’t help. 🫶🥰
Not the place to go if you want to get off opiates... My husband started methadone in September last year for help to get off fent so he wouldn't have to go through horrible withdrawals. We clearly let them know at the very first appointment that he didn't want to swap one addiction for another, he just needed something to assist him in detoxing. We both told the doctor that he wanted to tapper down with the doses so he could quit, instead they raised his doses consistently to where he's now more dependant on methadone than ... read more
I started going to the methadone clinic after my daughter was born. I have never been arrested and I figured it would be really hard to be a dad while in active addiction. That was in 2001. I've moved around to different places, Gadsden, Trussville, Tuscaloosa and others. I really loved the people in Tuscaloosa and hated leaving. I had to return to the Oxford area, to help with my mom who was terminal with cancer. When I transferred back to Oxford they were great. I loved the staff.
