Not the place to go if you want to get off opiates... My husband started methadone in September last year for help to get off fent so he wouldn't have to go through horrible withdrawals. We clearly let them know at the very first appointment that he didn't want to swap one addiction for another, he just needed something to assist him in detoxing. I started going to the methadone clinic after my daughter was born. I have never been arrested and I figured it would be really hard to be a dad while in active addiction. That was in 2001. I've moved around to different places, Gadsden, Trussville, Tuscaloosa and others. I really loved the people in Tuscaloosa and hated leaving. I had to return to the Oxford area, to help with my mom who was terminal with cancer. When I transferred back to Oxford they were great. I loved the staff.
