I've been building cabinets and furniture for more than 35 years. I established Medina Custom Woodworking more than 20 years ago and have been serving the mid-Michigan area ever since. I work closely with clients to design cabinets or furniture to fit their needs. Then I build everything from scratch in my Grand Ledge shop. I also restore antique furniture. We called at least 12 different places to inquire about a custom door for our den. Our house is over 100 years old, and one of the features we love are our Moroccan style archways. We wanted to preserve the character of the home and have a door that was soundproof for my stay-at-home office. We got 3 estimates for the door, and Medina's was not the cheapest. Had this guy come out and replace a Interior door for us. I was told the door is not a common door he resured me that he could make a door for us to fit that would be a soild door. After him making the door and installing it. i put a door stop on the back side well come to find out the door was made with the cheapest of stuff out there he charged us over $600 to give us the cheapest door possible. Jose Medina is a true professional. He had excellent communication throughout the project, was personable and really cares about his workmanship. He took time to explain the scope of work and met every expectation he set. He was exceptionally clean while performing the work on site. I highly recommend Medina Custom Woodworking and will absolutely reach out to him again for any woodworking needs we have in the future.
