You need to change how you run your company. MediLodge of Clare has administrative staff that lie and cover for the floor staff. Which is great if you work there but for the residents that are living there it's bad, awful. Took us 5 days to get a loved one out of that facility. The new place they went to is amazing. MediLodge left our loved one and their roommate daily over an hour needing cleaned. Multiple times this happened. I was hired at Medilodge Howell. The interview went well and I was excited to start my new position. I ignored the red flags during orientation. My first day there I discovered that the nurse covered 2 halls for a total of 43 patients to one nurse. The second shift I discovered that the 12 hour shift nurse covers three halls, divided, and after 4 hours leaves a hall and takes over another one with a ratio of one nurse to 40 patients. I was very disappointed with my recent stay at Medilodge. This was my third stay here unfortunately and I was saddened to see the quality of care greatly diminished. Don't get me wrong, the quality of the staff is excellent and they do thrive to work with each resident. They are knowledgeable, reliable assets of Medilodge. The problem is that there are far to few of them. There is an apparent division between management and staff regarding staffing expectations and patient care. I was really disapointed with an admission lady in Monroe, MI. For a few weeks I was trying to place my mother who had dementia in the Monroe facility. They had vacancies and my mom needed a place to go. The admissions lady said I will call you back which she never did. This went on for weeks with me calling her everyday or every other day. I think someone needs to speak to her about this. This happened during the last few weeks in April 2021. I was really upset about this.
