They charge high on price but low on service
I purchased a $350 Medicool e-file for my licensed apprentice, and it has been defective since the beginning. It frequently bogs down and stops during normal use, making it impossible to perform services safely or efficiently. When I contacted customer service, they refused to replace it and insisted I ship it in for repair, which would leave us without a drill for an unknown amount of time — something that is not realistic for a working nail tech or apprentice. I was nickel and dimed when trying to buy a new hand piece for my drill. The amount to fix my drill was only $5 less than the qoute on a new one. After I was quoted the price for a new hand piece and made the decision to go ahead and buy the new one I was told I would be charged an extra $20 for the quote on repairs. I was not given a trade in allowance for my old one and was told I would have to pay extra shipping to have it sent back to me. At that point I just said ok go ahead. BUYER BEWARE!! Find another brand! Wish I had never wasted my time trying to buy from Medicool!! After Young Nails Desktop e-file was sold out I decided to buy Medicool. Kept checking tracking, day before it's supposed to be delivered FedEx says a signature is required - but I am not going to be home, I work days. I try to set up pickup at Walgreens but FedEx says they can't. I email Medicool, they tell me they can set up the pick up for me but I have to call them (??? Why?) but can't after 5!!! BUYER BEWARE Horrific purchasing and customer service. I ordered a brand new drill for $435. It stopped working ONE WEEK later. Now they are making me send more money for inspection to return/repair it. The fine print says they can, at their discretion, send a refurbished drill. Imagine being charged 435 dollars for a used machine. Pathetic and inexcusable... BUYER BEWARE
