He was great til this year now doesn’t answer phone questions, so disappointed. Had to switch cardiologists.

Misleading practice. Website states they accept Tricare insurance and the scheduler over the phone confirmed they accept Tricare. Upon visiting they charged me as out of network. I later spoke to billing and they said “we accept Tricare as out of network” which makes no sense… technically everyone accepts out of network insurances. Being that I had an urgent cardiac issue and the long wait times to book appointments as a new patient, I didn’t have the luxury of time to find another doctor. Dr. Penuela is a great doctor. He doesn't rush you out and listens to you and your concerns. He is a very positive person. I'm always glad to see him.
The doctor is fine, but the practice in general is totally inferior. I cannot get anybody on the phone nor can I get anyone to call me back or even respond to my several messages on the patient portal. I was attempting to cancel an appointment way more than 24 hours in advance and could not get anyone to respond to my voicemail or patient portal messages.
