One of our patients had a lab requisition and took it to the Labcorp facility here. Our medical practice had already paid Labcorp for the labs. Elberton Medical Center billed the patient self pay pricing for $1400 worth of labs. There was no cost to them whatsoever. The patient’s Labcorp bill was already paid, and Labcorp provided a rep to draw the blood. Labcorp even called and explained this to them. This is fraud.
