Mis-Diagnosed Twice 2 out of 2 The wait can be quite long but what's worse is that the ER doctors seem to be clueless. The employees are very nice but the ER doctors just don't seem to know what to make of you whether you have smashed your finger or injured your arm -- "Well look at this...." Then, you have to go to a specialist who gives you this puzzled look and says "Who told you THAT?" PROS: small hospital, nice employees CONS: The ER doctors are not good, as far as my experience has shown
Didn't take me seriously I went to the ER at Melrose-Wakefield, thinking there was something seriously wrong with me (don't want to go into detail). I believed I needed urgent care. I was asked my age which at the time was 25, and was told to write my name on the list and take a seat. Nevermind the fact that I was really worried and sat there for 3 hours before I was taken in, when they did take me in, they ran a test that was only accurate if I was still experiencing pain, which after 3 hours, I wasn't!!!
