This company nickel and dimes people. I had to pay $75.00 plus my first month's payment in order to become a consumer. Then I received a button that was not sensitive to falls. Again, to switch the original button out, I had to pay an additional $25.00 above the monthly fee. The fall protection button was so sensitive that it was triggered each time I stumbled it activated the system. This then required me to get to the base unit in order to cancel the call. Beware! The medical alert device works well but the Connect America billing and customer service is awful! Not only did they not refund my 94 year old mother's estate when her service was cancelled, but they continued to bill her for 2 months after the device was returned and 1 month after her death! They owe her estate a refund of approximately $94.00 but are now trying to collect an additional $145.68! I have called no less than 9 times trying to resolve the issue with nothing happening. This company is a TOTAL SHAM. I returned the system unboxed and unused ON 5/22/2024 Because they sit on my return for 2 months they are charging me $ 256.85 of what I paid in advance which I was to get total credit for. I have called numerous times checking on my refund and each person tells me something different. I was given a confirmation number on 6/26/2024but NO REFUND. This Company, has one of the worst Customer Services, I’ve ever had the displeasure, to deal with and it doesn’t matter what department, you speak to, they’re all terrible! Ive managed, call centers for years and I know, all the do’s and don’ts and they’re definitely practicing the dont’s. Ordered this system for my 91 yr old mom. She never opened or activated it and decided she didn’t want a system. Returned it quickly and got only a portion refunded. Paid $678.40 refunded $414.55. They say policy is to keep her 3 month cost plus other reasons. This is elder abuse!! I would not recommend this company. Their reviews are already low. Sad but true!
