Do not even give them a chance if possible. Completely over priced for unreliable, at best, service. When you call them out because your service is out (and you most certainly will), they will tell you it’s your modem. I’ve been through three modems in two years. Shame on me but you’re supposed to trust the “professionals”. Lesson learned and I do not trust Mediacom anymore. A few hours after leaving a one star review, a technician showed up and set my internet up quickly. I wish it didn't take hounding them, but I am satisfied with the technician and that his boss told him he needed to come out, so now 4 stars, instead of one.
Well deserved terrible reviews. Sat around for 4 hours today after driving 4 more round trip only to be told the appointment was cancelled after repairs were completed on the 7th. Not true as they disconnected my service and put a lock on the cable box the 15th because of “leaky cable signals”. Agent I talked to on 20th confirmed today’s visit. I have returned a modem/router to the Knox office to avoid bill collections that was beginning of January and of December now into almost march I now have to bill collection notices on my credit report because I was not given a receipt and now have no way to prove I retuned. They have failed to contact the bill collections department and let them know. Now I owe 139.99 for something I have retuned already.
