They don't send out bills and then send the account to rvbs, who then tacks on 10%. They have an online system they don't bother to tell you about. This is where I found out that other bills I had were "overdue". It takes forever for them to bill insurance and send out bills for the patient responsibility portion and that's MY problem?
Terrible business--entirely driven by greed; not patient care. I've gone there for over 2 years. My complaints include that they mail you appointment times (you didn't request) and then when you don't make the time to cancel the ones you are "assigned" they threaten to charge you for them. I have even TOLD them to write it in my chart--NOT to make appointments for me. Yet, they continue to do so. It is ALL about revenue. My husband & I have had a horrible experience with MMC for the past 3 yrs. They misdiagnosed my husband who may now have colon cancer 8 mos after he was seen. The nurses were very rude & uncaring. I saw a Dr in urgent care & paid out of pocket since i don't have health insurance & 3 days later my medications were not working right & made me sick.
