Went in for the first time today and felt I wasn't taken very seriously by the lady at the front desk, it was nothing she said but more the tone, I'm 52 years old yet felt I was treated like a brat teenager 😡 The older Dr was ok but it was the younger Dr I felt was the more professional out of the 3 staff I interacted with. It's why I gave only 2 stars. I had an appointment today with Dr. Thakkar to get a physio care plan for my Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. He asked what joints would be getting treated, and because this is a full body condition, I said knees, hips, wrists, and shoulders. He proceeded to laugh in my face. I can't speak for the rest of the doctors (Dr. Suraj Vij is great), but Dr. Thakkar made me feel so belittled and humiliated for having a chronic condition.
The receptionist is a beautiful woman, always goes above and beyond. Doctor Thakkar however should not be a practicing doctor as his acceptance of new clients does not meet actually helping them. he books appointments in 5 min intervals just to refuse help to them and tells them to see another doctor. A report has been made to the HCCC
Jane the receptionist needs to leave if she hates everyone she's not friendly and tells off elderly ladies also she swears at anyone she doesn't like
