After a horrible experience at there ********* **Auction selling my truck. That was filled wis misinformation and lies I have called several times I have asked to speak with a supervisor 3 times was told they would email someone my concerns. Finally I get Joe on Monday who promised me my check was in the mail. Well here we are Saturday. No Check. I was told when they signed me up I would be paid within 10 days of the auction After 14 days I called and was told no we start sending checks out in groups after 14 days. After the... read more

Lots of glitz, smooth talking and certainly they have the process down to a T. Having been to several auctions, and hearing positive comments, I decided that I would put a car up on the block at the KC auction December 2024. Smooth drop off and obtaining cadential all the way up to the car entering the block and it started to slip. The auction person that "works" with the seller was certainly not working for me as he was trying to get me to sell below my personal reserve. I do not mean gentile, he was quite pushy to the poi... read more

Terrible company. Sold my Mustang and Ferrari with Mecum, they will change the terms of agreement on the auction block. The hold your money for more than 21 days, and be unresponsive while keeping your money and your vehicle. All of the one star reviews say something about the conduct of Mecum Auctions.

Business response:

This Customer consigned a Vehicle at a ********************** Auction. Prior to the Auction in question, this Customer executed an Auction Listing Contract that governed his Vehicle consignment. Customer represented to ********************** that he was the owner of the Vehicle with free and clear title. However, the Vehicle was actually subject to a six-figure lien by his financial institution. Customers Auction Listing Contract expressly states: A non-negotiable title will result in payment being delayed until an acceptabl... read more

This has to be the greediest collection of folks I've dealt with in a long time. I bid on several lots of parts and they posted a whopping 25% commission, it's the highest I've ever seen but it was clearly posted so I adjusted my bidding accordingly. $5 per lot fee for what I don't know? But again it was posted so I paid it without complaint. My order is now all ready to ship and now they're charging me $125 for a $5 pallet? I challenged the fee because that charge was not posted anywhere in the terms and conditions. I was t... read more

Business response:

I've spoken to Mr. ***** and we would like to refunded the $125 as a customer courtesy. In addition we're offered no charge tickets to a future auction.

AUCTION PACE IS WAY TOO FAST. ESPECIALLY, ON THE NO RESERVE BIKES. I sold two motorcycles (no reserve) in the January 2022 Vegas auction. The 1960 mustang was confusingly listed as f153.1 in all catalogues & brochures but bike was tagged and sold as f154.1. (Mustang estimate $15k - $29k). The incorrectly listed/tagged mustang was pushed on the block, introduced and then hammered SOLD just 40 seconds later! It sold for a disappointing $9k which was well below the $15k-$29k estimate. At mecum Vegas in April 2021 an almost iden... read more

Business response:

We value our customers feedback and strive to meet, and exceed, their expectations. The auction format can be very fast paced however when there is spirited bidding on a particular vehicle rest assured that it will receive extra time on the auction block.

After purchasing a truck at the *********** Auction December 2nd, it took 87 days to obtain a title. Their motto of making it easy with a simple process and a team guiding you through start to finish is a joke. Several different people in the title department gave us the run around. It appears the pretenses the truck was sold to us, didnt match up with the title. Meanwhile, we were stuck with an unusable, unsellable truck. Only after we obtain legal councel, did we start to receive answers. 87 days later, we finally had a ti... read more

I purchased a **** **** Mustang at the July 2023 ********** auction. The night before the auction, a giant tent collapsed and tore a hole in the roof, dented the trunk area and broke trim. When bidding on the car, I had no knowledge of this bad damage. I have many pictures and videos of the vehicle right after the storm and the morning after that prove the car was damaged in the storm. The car had many issues that could not be seen from afar. The car was delivered to my house and arrived with a bad battery and bad alternator.... read more

If I could give them less I would. Bought a car July 27, 2023 at ********** **. Go to get a 90 day title and was told they couldnt give me one because they didnt have a title but we sell cars for this dealer all the time so Ill have it this week and overnight it to you. Been given the run around since. Lie after lie. Its sept 15, 2023 and still dont have a title. They sold me a shady car w no title and lied from day one.

Absolutely ZERO integrity! Vilest scum on the planet to buy a car from. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT do business with these thieves! There's good reason they ARE NOT Better Business Bureau Accredited.

Business response:

We value our customers feedback and always strive to resolve issues whenever possible. In searching our database for sales history under **************************************** there show no sales to him from any past auctions. Since there is no purchase history making these kind of claims seems unfair and misleading.
