We used Robert from MEC Building and Pest for our inspection on our purchased property. Robert was prompt, informative and very thorough - he took the time to explain what he was looking for and as a client, kept us updated throughout the inspection. He also took the time to explain his findings upon completion of the inspection in a friendly yet informative way. Quite unpleasant experience. The owner/inspector was grumpy over the phone. After the call he didn’t confirm the booking and didn’t respond to messages. Pre-purchase inspection is a delicate timely matter, so I had to book with another company on the next day. I feel really sorry for the seller’s agent who had to deal with the honoured owner/inspector being rude over the phone after I cancelled the unconfirmed booking.
I have used Rob twice in the last year for property building and pest reports. If there is a problem he WILL find it, he is very good at his job and I highly recommend.
Robert was highly approachable and took his time to explain elements throughout the building and pest inspection. Robert identified concerns with the house that we were then able to take to the sellers to rectify prior to purchase, savings us potentially thousands of dollars.
