Worst Medical facility ever. Right hand has no idea what the left is doing. If you do choose to go to them, wait for the long wait getting in with one of the main doctors in the main office. The new office on lecanto is a joke along with the Dr. Plum. We were told he no longer wanted to treat my husband or I, without reason. My mom has been using this practice for years but late last year they made the decision to only accept a particular Humana plan. Now my mom's copays at her various speciality doctors are 50% higher, the Medicare premium is more expensive and she doesn't get the food benefit card she received from her prior insurance. We also are continuing to have problems getting authorizations back for needed scans when specialists request them. I had an UTI and could not get in to see my regular doctor at Meadowcrest. They did however make me an appointment at their day clinic on the same day. I want to thank Dr. Shenai and the team at the Day clinic for staying past your lunch time to see me and making sure I got the medication I needed. You are my heros. JR
I am new to the area (arriving from out of state) and heard that Meadowcrest Family Physicians had an excellent reputation and great physicians. I went on Meadowcrest Family Physician website and checked the health insurance and made certain I had correct insurance. Filled out the paper work they requested and waited 3 weeks for the office to return my call to book an appointment and the appointment setter said only one doctor takes FL BCBS and next appointment is June.
