These fields are horrible. We play lacrosse all over Atlanta and Meade is probably the second worst (behind Allatoona). Dusty, bumpy, horrible creases, balls roll under the fence. Concession stand is always closed. 90% of youth lacrosse is played on turf. Time to put your tax dollars to work and upgrade this facility.
I cannot speak for the softball fields in the back of the park, but the baseball and lacrosse fields at the top and in the middle could use a lot of work. The grass is trashed on the lacrosse fields. The kids go for the ball and end up scooping up a pile of dirt with it. You have to take a gravel road to the paved, lower, parking lot -the upper lot is also gravel- and this gravel road as well as the parking are right next to fields kids play baseball/lacrosse on -- makes the game a dusty mess.
