I was due for a well visit and med refill this week. Of course it falls during cold and flu season. At 8:45 this morning they were packed. They let me go ahead and do my blood work quickly this morning while I was fasting and then come back in the afternoon to see the Dr when they were not as busy. Was in and out in 15 min. I love the Dr and nursing staff there! They are all so friendly and encouraging. The front office staff is also very helpful! It’s nice to have a clinic like that in our neighborhood!
Dr. Jenkins was INCREDIBLE! I'm terrified of going to the doctor due to bad experiences in the past with physicians who walk in and walk out without any compassion. They listen halfheartedly and leave the room before you can express your needs and walk you out the door feeling unresolved and helpless. Dr. Jenkins was physically in the room with me 3 times. MY HUSBAND WAS RACIAL PROFILED IN THIS CLINIC. AFTER THE NURSE TOOK THE 2 VIALS OF URIN, SHE STATED THAT IT WASN'T ENOUGH, HOW MUCH DO YOU NEED TO POUR IN A CUP? HE ASKED HOW MUCH DID HE NEED, HER REMARK WAS "HE WAS THE ONE WHO WANTED A STATE JOB" REALLY NURSE.. AFTER HIS URIN WAS TAKEN, THE MAN THAT WORKS THERE TOLD HER TO DISCARD HIS URIN. Nice staff, but they claim they take tricare. Which is true if you register with them as primary care, but if you go to them as a walk in clinic/urgent care tricare only partially covers the expense. Now I have an unexpected car payment size bill for my 4 kids getting a doctor’s note and a Covid test, when it could have been $0 at UMMC on the other side of the parking lot.
Dr. Suggs and his nurse are two of the best care providers in the entire county.
