Easily, I would say that Dr Stifelman is the best doctor I have had. He is competent and caring and really knows how to go that extra mile. I sought him out because of his reputation and he delivered. He manages expectation well and truly allows the patient to feel at ease even when the situation seems unsure and procedure somewhat uncomfortable. Without hesitation, I recommend him very highly if you find yourself in need of a world class doctor.
I contacted Dr. Stifelman to get a second opinion as I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Even though it was in it's early stages and having a strong family history of prostate cancer in my family I decided to have the prostate removed. I'm so glad I met him. He listened and addressed all my questions and concerns that I felt confident enough to use him to do this procedure. I am totally satisfied with the outcome and would highly recommend him .. I wish there were more doctors like him.
I am so happy, the Lord guided me to find Dr. Michael Stifelman to operate on my Kidneys. When you need help, you need really someone to help, to calm you down, to assure you and deliver results. I really highly recommend Dr. Stifelman to everyone who has a kidney problem. My difficult surgery was a complete success.
Dr. Stifelman has been my surgeon for over two years; first at NYU then, I followed him to Hackensack UMC, when accepted his new positions as Chairman of the Urology Dept. In fact, I would have followed to the end of the earth! I don't think there is a more skilled surgeon and caring doctor. He operated on me when I was diagnosed with a malignan left kidney cancer in August, 2015. The surgery was a success, and I have been cancer-free since. Dr. StifeLman is best thing that has touched my life!

I came up from florida to have Dr. Stifelman do a partial nephrectomy robotically. He is a caring, thoughtful, and thorough professional. His staff is of the same quality. Great physician.
Our handicapped son suffered a perforated kidney along with an abscess. His kidney had to be removed. Open incision was our only option but given our son's circumstances this would have devastated him. We were fortunate to find Dr. Stifelman. His first words to our son were, "Hi, I'm Michael," and he quickly put a special plan and team in place and was able to successfully perform the surgery laparoscopically. Dr. Stifelman's skill is only outweighed by his compassion and humility.
I enthusiastically recommend Dr. Stifelman. Living outside of Boston, I became dissatisfied with my Doctor at a prestigious Boston Hospital. After researching, I traveled four (4) plus hours each for consultation and surgery for Prostate Cancer. I would readily do it all again. Clearly Dr. Stifelman is one of the best urologist on the east coast, if not the best in Robotic Surgery. I found him to be compassionate, thorough and intelligent. A great organization inclusive of staff and hospital.
I had a Gleason score of 8 for prostate cancer. Scared and confused he was informative and comforting. Thank god I met him. He is a brilliant compassionate surgeon Praising god and dr Stifleman, I'm 20 months cancer free. God bless him
