Carla M. review for Mcna Dental Plans

This company should be shut down. The referral process makes no sense, as I was told to call back to see if referral was approved. Do they not contact patients? Confusion#1. Upon me calling back, I was then given another number for Sunrise Center for Dental specialty, who then made appointment, only for consultation but out for 3 more weeks. Confusion #2. Mind you, this was an emergency visit to my sons dentist who referred MCNA because of the insurance plan with medicaid. Confusion#3. Now the lady at Sunrise Center states the visit which is 3 weeks away is only for consultation and once that is done there is another 4 weeks for an appointment. Confusion #4. Now this seems to be some sort of scam to suck the money outta Medicaid but nevertheless he needs to be seen, because then I will be considered the bad parent who doesn't take their child in for dental visits. My point is if this is a specialist and the referral was issued from the primary dentist, why would the patient have to wait almost two months later to be seen. Makes no sense. Confused all over again and no one has answers.
