My husband had a brain aneurysm on February 22. Operation was a miracle. After several weeks in Trauma ICU l, then to a regular room for 2 days transferred to Encompass. Three days later on March 20, he had a heart attack with a stroke. Back to McLeod ICU for 2 weeks. Released for rehab at McCoy, neurologist while at McLeods were awesome. Issue once released, you have to find a neurologist and make appointment. I had a major scare after having health issues for years. I lost complete feeling and ability to move my whole left side for 10 days. After seeing a spine specialist I was referred to Dr. Zust. He was the first doctor to really listen to me. He sent me for Mri's and found that I have MS. He has really helped me. I lost my insurance but that didn't matter to him. I was admitted to McLeod Hospital with "stroke-like" symptoms. I was released after receiving excellent care at the Dillon location. I was told to see my primary care physician right away. Someone at the hospital made that appointment in my behalf. Dr. Lilly, my wonderful primary care physician determined that I have indications of early dementia and prescribed the proper medication, but wanted me to see a neurologist for a second opinion.
