Dr. Okebie and staff are kind and caring, even under the stress of the current state of the health care system.
Just went to make an appointment with Dr mcleads new replacement Dr and with dealing with the new receptionist was the worst experience of my life she was so rude like I've never seen before I wish her to lose her job to the public as there is no room for her in this field( maybe a dishwasher behind the scene. Called for an appointment only to be told that you haven't had an appointment in the last 2 years so you aren't on our list and you no longer have a family doctor. I have had a family doctor for over 35 years here in PG and never had an issue. Now I have some serious heath concerns and I'm told by the receptionist to call 811 and get on a wait list for a family doctor. Heath care system is broken and getting worse every year.
Just finished a call with Dr McLeod who was filling in for my regular doctor. She was absolutely amazing! Listened to my concerns, recommended tests I didn’t even know existed and sent a referral to another dr to help even more with my issues. She was polite, friendly and I felt heard.
Since the new receptionist, colleen has taken over, this office has gone way downhill!!!!!! Impossible to get this woman to do anything without COMPLETELY invading your privacy!!! It's really too bad she can't take the effort to sound a little more compassionate and avoid pissing off people who are already fed up with how far downhill the medical system has gone!!
