There prices are super high because it's in McLean and rents are high which is fine and all, except I can go to a barber in Honolulu and get an amazing haircut/wash for $18 (before tip) by a man who has been cutting hair for over 40 yrs and is an expert. So for me to pay $31 dollars for a cut/wash by someone who is not an expert and doesn't have decades of experience is a hard pass for me. Prices don't reflect the service and quality. I walked into McLean Barber Shop in McLean, VA on Sunday, May 25th for a walk-in skin fade. Wait time was short, parking was easy, and the shop appeared clean. I paid $24 plus tip. The haircut looked fine initially, but within hours I developed multiple small red nicks all over the back of my head that turned into white crusty spots and a constant stinging sensation. I’ve been going to this barber for like 5 years and since then, the haircuts have gotten worse and worse. It got to the point, where today, I showed them a picture of a haircut that THEY GAVE ME (looked pretty good) and they literally cut off all of my hair except for like 0.5-1 inches
