They kept sending me things in the mail telling me I had active insurance, then I didn't have it, then repeated it until finally I got one saying there was a mistake that caused my insurance to be disabled and that it was active again I went to request a new card and now they're saying I don't have active insurance AGAIN?? The MiBridges website says it's active, I don't know who to believe and of course they aren't available on weekends. This has been a nightmare
I do NOT recommend McLaren insurance at all. The lack of communication alone is HORRIBLE. They are rude, dismissive, and lacking empathy. On top of that, none of my doctors or pharmacies are covered. Go elsewhere for your health coverage!
I've been a member with McLaren Health Plan for many years. Recently, there was an issue where a claim was denied, but it was no fault of my insurance. They walked me through the issue and gave me all the info I needed to get the claim resolved. My issue was fixed very quickly and I couldn't be more pleased. Thank you!
DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY TO HELP YOU WITH YOUR HEALTHCARE NEEDS. I have been taking an expensive medication for about eight years, so the first thing I check when selecting a healthcare plan is whether they will cover my medication. I selected McLaren because it said it covered my medication AND my primary care provider. My medication prior authorization was denied. The appeal for the prior authorization was denied. Very rude representatives. Angie was rude, wouldn't answer questions and was extremely unprofessional and condescending. Seeing the constant and overwhelming 1 star reviews shows the lack of care and accountability this facility has to show for itself. Seems like most receptionist, especially at this office, use this " job" as an outlet for outside stress on undeserving customers . I asked to be transferred to a manager.
