Been admitted. Still in emergency room for 30 hours. My boyfriend is the one admitted
Dont come here if you have a concussion. They do not care. I had a concussion and was actively bleeding and they made me wait 3 hours. They did not even clean the wound or perform first aid which led to me developing an infection. Your doctors seem to not give a damn about anything they do- they did not notice the infection i got while giving me stitches right above it!
I went to ER for being extremely sick and they got me to a room immediately and the team of nurses and doctors I had were absolutely amazing. I can’t entirely remember if the nurses name was Megan or not (could be wrong) but she made me feel so comfortable in such a scary time. I will always remember that nurse who took care of me that night. If she ever reads this, I hope she knows she made a difference and I appreciate her so so much. Overall amazing experience they are the best.
The ER won't refer you to care. They'll "recommend" it, but if you don't have a PCP, weren't admitted, and need help getting the care they "recommend"? Good luck, you're on your own. They'll just suggest you get a PCP or come back if you're worried. Come back, for what? To still not get to see the specialist I was told I had a referral to? I was actually really happy with my care the first few days after treatment, as the staff were polite and friendly. Nurses and techs were rude and dismissive, wouldn't listen to me and talked down to me. The nurses kept unhooking my fluids to get blood and then not hooking it back up again. Another couldn't get the blood she wanted from the IV port so she went for a vein further down my arm and bruised me badly. I heard them making fun of another patient who wouldn't speak to them. They say out at their desks whining about wanting to go home and what snack to eat next. They spent now time eating and flirting with each other than working. ... read more
