I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the handling of my security deposit and the unprofessional communication I have received from Abby, Kim, and Alysia. The company tricks you into signing the lease by underreporting costs on the lease. Then they slam you with a statement at the end of the year, claiming that you owe them thousands of dollars. They are also very unprofessional in that they don’t even understand their own terms and conditions stated in the lease and mess up the end-of-year statement. Like others have said, they are a company solely focused on making commissions and could not care less about their tenants.
Think twice if you are considering a tenancy under management by McKelvey. In the 9 years they have managed us we have had ongoing water leaks that have ruined our fixtures. They are resistant and defensive on the matter. As a tenant, audit your CAM charges. We found that we were being charged for other tenants’ utilities and the metering was set up improperly.
