Excellent service. Professional & compassionate.
On Sunday, I called the office with an emergency colic in one of my horses. Dr. Cid came out very quickly and immediately made Clover comfortable. He explained everything, and talked us through every process. It was an incredibly hard situation, Clover was old and in immense pain. I made the hard decision to lay my girl to rest. I was filled with emotions but Dr. Cid reassured me I made the right decision. I am a new client of McKee-Pownall this year, and I am very impressed. I have worked with Dr. Garza & Dr. Gomez and they are both compassionate, patient, and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, we have had to make some emergency calls at terrible hours and the McKee dispatch was able to send someone out with 35-45 mins each time. I appreciate that my vets check in on the horses a few days after they have seen them. Although McKee-Pownall is somewhat pricey, their dependability is certainly worth it!
Will never be using this vet again. Worst place to deal with all about money and not actually in it for the horse. This business has made thousands of dollars off of me and I have never owed money or any missed payments. When a new horse at my farm needed to see a vet immediately they held back and kept beating around the bush and refused care for the horse even when I said I would pay the day of service.
