Have lived here since they opened. Was really great at first, but way too much turn over in management both on-site and Corporate. Can't get ahold of anyone except the maintenance guy. They do not keep up with pest control, has not been done in over a year, and the security boxes to buz into the apartments aren't kept up at all. They might say that I'm just salty because Im a single mom of 4 and was just evicted but no, I have been irritated. I WISH that I could rate their customer service, but I have yet to receive ANY!!! I wish they would have called me back in just 12 days! Beginning in May, I have been messaging them via the website Zumper....no response. I have called several times and left several voice mails, and now recently the recording says that it isn't currently set up to accept messages....WHAT??!!!! Still, no returned calls. I am an attorney. My disabled client submitted an application to McKay Manor in early July 2025. He and I have called and emailed McKay Manor repeatedly since that time, and as of early September 2025—approximately 60 days later—neither of us has received a return call, a response to our emails, or any contact whatsoever from McKay Manor. When I called for availability, I was told that they are “saving some units under a contract and only certain units would be available for the public.” I would like to see the contract or understand why units are being withheld from the public. Who are they saving them for? Illinois has gotten so sketchy since I moved 15 years ago, I think Ill stay in MO. They like my money here.
