We stopped by MCK a few days ago after hearing about it from a friend and the selection of local meats and prepared sides was way better than expected for a market. The staff behind the counter took the time to walk us through which sausages were made in house, which made the whole thing feel more like a proper deli experience than a quick grocery run. Stopped by on a whim last weekend around mid morning and the place was already buzzing with people grabbing fresh bread and produce. I ended up wandering around with my camera for a good twenty minutes just because the light coming through the windows onto the fruit stands was too good to pass up. The woman working the bakery counter let me snap a few shots of the pastry case and even pointed out which loaves had just come out of the oven. Our original plan to simply have our kitchen cabinets painted went right out the window after our first visit to MCK, and we are so happy it did! My husband and I stopped in at Mikes Country Kitchens a couple of weeks ago while we were doing a little sightseeing around Dartmouth, and what a lovely find it was. The market had a wonderful selection of local products, and we ended up spending far longer than planned just browsing all the homemade jams and preserves on the shelves.
