Excellent little neighborhood hardware store. Very helpful and friendly. They can direct you "how to" and if you aren't "handy", they know who can help you get it done!!! :) We have been here for 35 years and have been customers since moving to Fremont.
We LOVE McIvor's. They are always knowledgeable and willing to help us with tips or instructions. I can walk in there and ask how I should do something and they really know how, just like that! They offer clean cut and honest help, and don't patronize women or children looking for help like at Lowe's (Blowe's >:/).
Best hardware store in town...hands down. You will get personal attention and advice here that you won't anywhere else. They are the most helpful people and they will not try to rip you off.
McIvor's is absolutely the best. When my son's bike lock broke while the bike was still secured to the bike rack at his school, we knew we needed bigger tools than what we have at home to rescue the bike. I ran into McIvor's fully prepared to purchase whatever the experts there recommended I use and they just lent me a very large set of bolt cutters, FOR FREE! They also gave me advice on the best location on the lock to attempt the cut. I got the job done in no time and received two thumbs up upon my return. So very thankful... read more
We have been dealing with them since 1974. I don't know how to fix much but they will listen to my problem, tell me what and how, then show me the parts I need. If I don't need a part they take it back with out any problems... Many times I thought I needed to spend a lot to resolve a problem, but they showed me a easier , and cheaper way to fix it. Super helpful. Thanks
