We had an absolutely fantastic experience with McIntosh Carpentry! James built us three custom dressers in very tricky spaces and the finished product is just beautiful and highly functional. His design has given us abundant storage and looks very attractive in the spaces. James was wonderful to communicate with regarding the project and the installation was completed ahead of schedule. We will definitely work with James again in the future.
James built and installed built-in cabinets and bookshelves to surround our fireplace last month. We're very happy with the result! James is an efficient, skilled carpenter and customized the cabinets to be both functional and aesthetically pleasing. From our first call all the way up to the completed work, James was awesome. -He explained everything and answered any questions we had. -He made a last second change for us that was ABOVE AND BEYOND. -His work blew away our expectations I could not possibly recommend him any more. You won't regret it.
Absolutely fantastic contractor, truly one of the good guys. I worked with James to fix up two bathrooms and he was amazing. Punctual, efficient, with great quality work at a reasonable price. He put in thought in his work and found the best way to fix the problem. At the same time he worked hard to get things done, even coming by evenings/weekends. It was a pleasure working with him and when my next project comes up I will definitely work with him again!
We hired McIntosh Carpentry to build a fireplace mantle and adjacent barn door covering several storage drawers. For wood we used 160-year-old, reclaimed, pine from a local historical building.
