Articulate, professional and a good man. I’ve had over 14 major orthopedic surgeries so I do know a good or bad surgeon once I sit with them for the initial consultation. He’s a great surgeon but he has limited office and hours.
I am not one to write reviews, but I am extremely disappointed with the fact that after my first visit, with the PA which was Pleasant and I thought I would have a good experience moving forward, ended up in my disappointment. The doctor had wanted me to go for MRIs before any further discussions of treatment and it’s been over 2 months now and I still have not gotten an MRI because the doctor has failed to supply a code. My relationship with Dr. Mchugh and his office in commack was very short lived and absolutely terrible. I came in for back surgery. The surgeon, Dr. McHugh was insisting I get a second MRI because the first one was done by a machine that was so old and couldn’t pick up on imaging. I myself work for healthcare and I do authorizations for a living and it can be very challenging. Dr Mchugh gave me my legs back. Terrible numbness and pain both legs . Resolved with an L1-L5 Laminectomy. Wonderful Surgeon as well a Person . Highly recommend.
