A few years ago we had a bat in the house. I got the kids in my bedroom and called mchenry county animal control immediately, who offered zero assistance because they only exist to charge people fees, not to help in emergency situations. I was on the phone almost the entire next day with a nurse from this health department who kept trying to minimize what had happened and acted like I was overreacting by asking whether or not I should get my kids the rabies vaccine. 17Feb2026 Result and statistics matter. Absolutely, great. Follow up and attention to detail as well as empathy for illness to food. The call center take there jobs seriously and they are very transparent. I highly recommend this location as well as the website. Thanks for all you do!
