**updating my review - after posting this review below the next day I got a call from the nurse who then scheduled me to be seen! I went in a few days later for my appt and they set up my infusions right away, even got my 1st one that day! I had 5 infusions in 2 weeks and every appt I had went very well! Most the nurses i experienced were super nice and the atmosphere was comfortable! I am a hard stick for the IV and if the nurse didn’t think he/she could get it , they got another nurse! I will update my review if things change! I went to the Phoenixville cancer center for years for my infusions but was notified they no longer take my insurance so called Pottstown hospital cancer center! It’s been over 2 weeks and I’ve called 3 times and was told basically to stop calling that when the nurse gets a chance to look at my chart she will call and schedule me an appt! I’m at the very beginning of my cancer experience. I’ve been taken aback by how casual the clinical staff at Pottstown are about contacting me after crucial test results come back. I know this is a new thing—patients and clinicians receiving test results at the same time—but given that new reality, I’d think a facility dedicated to one of the most anxiety-producing, feared, and hard-to-understand medical diagnoses would make *every* effort to contact patients quickly after important results come back from the lab. The people working here are absolutely fantastic. I came in for treatment today and the nurse noticed it was my birthday. Everyone gathered round to sing Happy Birthday to me. While I was sitting in a treatment chair feeling sorry for myself. It was touching beyond words. Turned my day completely around. Great caring staff!
