If I could give him zero star I would, I was sent to him by my work, McGill mentioned that he is independent but 100 of people have been sent to him from my workplace. Overall he is arrogant and a hired gun by insurer he is very unprofessional, rude and he is not willing to listen to you nor he will let you speak. Just because I have a middle eastern background he put in the report that I am Lebanese(which I am not) and I do not have any pain.
Neil McGill is an excellent doctor with a strongly scientific approach. I am extremely grateful to him for many years of intelligent care.
Prof McGill was very quick to confirm diagnosis of PMR, that the GP had already diagnosed He was brisk and rough in his examination. He didn’t engage with me at all, didn’t use my name once , gave me no indication as to how I should address him . By the end of the consultation ,during which there was virtually no communication ( just orders , do this , stand there… move your arm. etc … ) , he laid out his prednisone/ methotrexate regimen for my condition. Dr McGill is the best. He has been treating my RA for so many years that I can't remember when I started seeing him. He was in another building when I first went and then he moved to the QE2 building. Even during the Corona virus epidemic, he kept in touch with me by phone. Going to a specialist in Canberra was costing me a fortune and I was not getting any relief from the RA. I am pretty well in remission thanks to Dr McGill. Cannot speak too highly of him.
