This is a lovely dental surgery. It ticks all the boxes for me. The staff are very friendly and the dentists are easy to talk to. Several times I’ve needed an urgent appointment and was able to be seen in good time. The surgery is nicely presented and appears clean and well maintained. I must have a good level of BUPA cover as I don’t seem to have any out of pocket for routine checkups or fillings. Highly recommended
A costly lesson in transparency. Came in for a simple consult on persistent pain—was met with a friendly receptionist, seen promptly, and given a quick tap test. No immediate issues found. Then, I was informed: "I'm doing an x-ray to check (since nothing seems wrong so far)." No mention of cost, no option to decline—just a statement of fact that this was needed and happening. Staff and atmosphere are beautiful. I’m autistic and have had previous poor experiences with other practices - my mindset has been completely changed by McDowall Dental. From the reception staff to dentist and dental assistant - all staff were patient, kind and had friendly approaches.
