I went for just a basic check up and blood work since I just moved from a different state. The doctor Amanda was so bias and short with me. Didn’t want to listen to the things I had to say or answer my questions. I felt so uncomfortable and judged. I was seeking help and was completely discouraged in my experience going there. My race shouldn’t determine how well a medical professional treats me.
Very rude office staff left me on hold and never come back to the phone waited 20 minutes for them to come back to the phone but I’m glad I didn’t go to them looking at their reviews
They've been my Primary Physician since we moved to Henry County in 2002. Always liked that they took walk-ins most days, but if you call first, you could get same-day appointments. Since NP Jodi left I've not been as happy with them. The new NP made me feel rushed, like she was trying to squeeze out the door the whole time I was talking to her, and every word I was saying, in order to give as detailed of a issue as possible for her to make an accurate diagnosis was just keeping her from a more important task. I Visited McDonough Primary on July 1, 2020. Organization kindly fit me in quickly for an appointment after speaking with receptionist. Nurse was excellent in her care and concern for my issue. However, I was seen by NP Amanda Lynn Butler. She stated she could not help me with my issue. But, McDonough Primary did bill my insurance for the office visit with no care or treatment given. This demonstrates to me that money for time not for care is their philosophy.
They really care. I absolutely love having them as a primary medical source for all of my needs. Dr. Van Laar and the staff are all amazing people. Thank you for taking care of my family and I.
