I have been coming to this McDonald’s for more than 50 years, first as a child, then as a young adult, then as a parent, and now as a senior citizen, traveling from northern Virginia or Pennsylvania to the Eastern Shore to visit family—or now in reverse. This McDonalds has always been an oasis of deliciously prepared hot food, refreshing drinks, and in recent years, fast food’s best chocolate chip cookies.
